Friday Five Pets

Sophia wrote:

My son's tiny beloved lizard, Elf, is looking and acting strange this week. His skin/scales are quite dark, and he is lethargic. We are adding vitamin drops to his lettuce and spinach and hoping and praying that he is just getting ready to shed his skin--but it's too soon to tell. Others in the ring have also been worried about beloved pets this week. And, in the saddest news of all, Songbird has had to bid farewell to her precious Molly, the amazing dog who is well known to readers of her blog as a constant sacrament of God's unconditional love.

So in memory of Molly, and in honor of all the beloved animal companions who bless our lives: tell us about the five most memorable pets you have known.

Wow, a pet who saved your life. Very cool.

It would be difficult for me to have a working dog in the house and not make him/her a pet. But I am glad he has a working dog. It reminds all of the symbiotic nature of all creatures.

Thank you all for stopping by. Muthah, when Amity isn't "working" she's just like a regular dog pretty much. It's just there are some things we don't do with her that we would with a pet. But she still has plenty of time to play and be petted and loved. It's so tempting though...

Beth, being an LTSG alum, you know the campus. It's so cool to have Ray and Amity walk by themselves from Stuempfle Hall to the chapel. It's so empowering for Ray. And guide dogs love their jobs. Peace.

Sophia, Julius loved me. What can I say. As a child I couldn't understand the impact, but I give thanks now. Blessings.
